What is the best Graphics Tablet for drawing Anime?
I’ve looked into several questions here on Yahoo Answers but I still feel I need further help. I’m looking for a Wacom tablet, but I don’t wwant to get a cheaper one that isn’t very capable of what I want. I want to draw and color, not just scan my pictures in and color them. I owned a tablet PC in the past, but I sold it to buy my MacBook Pro (I had it for 3 years). The thing was great. Unfortunately, it didn’t work with Photoshop, and only with the software it came with. So I have tablet experience. I don’t need a beginners tablet. I want a tablet that is capable of doing things like this: http://www.sheezyart.com/art/view/815434/
I also don’t have a lot of money, either. Are the Bamboo series good tablets? I’m just afraid that they’re only for editing pictures and not for serious drawing. I wouldn’t mind getting an Intuos, either, but how much better is an Intuos over a Bamboo?
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you!
I have been looking around for a tablet too! even though im not a serious artist i would love to be able to draw directly in my pc. So in my opinion the best one is the medium bamboo fun. It looks great for photoshoping images n stuff but even greater for drawing! I recomend as large size as possible so that it is more comfortable and feels more natural. A person at bestbuy told me that he owned the small one and that it was awfuly uncomfortable to use. The intuos has i think more sensors and buttons which i believe are not necessary for the type of drawings you are planning to do. With the medium bamboo fun you can do even better drawings than the one in your link. However there must be a reason behind the fact that the intuos are for professionals and the bamboos are for everyone. If you are able to pay the price go for the intuos obviously. In therms of performance both are excellent. It doesnt really depend on the tablet that much but on your techniques and photoshop (or other programm) skills. I also recomend a program called manga studio. http://my.smithmicro.com/mac/mangaex/index.html this is the buffed up version for 299 (which is too much) and there is a simpler version for 40ish. and there is also this http://my.smithmicro.com/mac/anime/index.html for anime.
hope i helped!
